Hoima Guide

Hoima, located in the western part of Uganda, was granted city status in 2020 and was an important cultural and spiritual centre for the Bunyoro Kingdom, one of the most traditional Bantu kingdoms in Uganda and a remnant of one of the most powerful empires in East and Central Africa from 13th century to the 19th century, the Bunyoro-Kitara Empire.
