Mbarara Tourist Attractions


Although a great place to stay, eat and shop, Mbarara isn't best known for its tourist attractions rather a base from which to explore tourist attractions further afield. Nevertheless any stopover should include a day trip to Lake Mburo National Park with its 350 bird species as well as mammals including leopards and buffalo where you can go on game drives and take a boat trip along Lake Mburo or go horse riding or quad bike riding. Also take time to pay a visit to the Igongo Cultural Centre and discover the rich cultural heritage of of Mbabara and surrounding areas. Then, to cool down, maybe spend half a day chilling out at Big Fun swimming pool!
